Let’s start positive. Kansas absolutely dominated one of the best—especially defensively—teams in the country with a 75-68 shakedown of Houston. The 13-point deficit felt like 40. Had KU not turned the ball over 17 times (!!!) the score line would have been something more like that. Self and Co nailed the gameplan, and attacked Houstons risk-taking defense constantly. They
Remember when Remy sucked all season and then didn’t?
Remember when Malik Newman had been Meh all season until the tourney?
Remember when Bobby Boucher showed up at halftime and the mud dogs won the bourbon bowl?
My point being, you can’t pull the plug on ANY of these guys yet. Because if we want to make a deep match run then we will need Nick and Parker. Just gotta hope they figure it out. In Bill I trust.
My point (I think, this is a fluid thing!) is that we have five really good guys, and maybe it's just time to accent and set those five up for success as much as humanly possible. We are going to need the role players. But success begins with those five.
I’m also confused why you don’t like the Dickinson/Adams combo. They play perfect together. I’m guessing you wish KJ was more of a Wilson type player where he can stretch you out a little more. I get that. But I feel like if Juan could find a way to put up a few more open 3s a game that would replace that. Not to knock Juan though because with him we lose by 30 on Monday.
We need people to shoot full stop I totally agree with that
Yeah, I think I'd just prefer a shooter (or someone who is like 60% from the elbow) perched on top of the high-low. I get the sense that Hunter is less comfortable in that area. If I was a defense playing us, it would be all aboard in the paint late in the clock. Adams and Dickinson have maximized their fit, for sure—they cover each others shortcomings to a degree.
Adams deserves more credit for being a non-shooter and creating space through cutting and activity
Is Adam’s NOT 60% from the elbow? I feel like he’s been really efficient from the elbow. Really efficient all over actually. What we really need is for Adam’s to give Dickinson some athleticism. We’d be unbeatable.

Totally hear that. Track record is STRONG.

could be!! i'm seeing 42% on non-rim 2s on Torvik but have so far been unable to pull the heat map
